Make it so we can feel and relate to what’s happening. Use five senses.
Teardrops formed in his eyes as they slowly flowed down his face. His heart sank in disbelief. Questions streamed through his mind, “why me?”, “How could this happen?”, “What did I do to deserve this?”. His whole body shaking with fear as he sat alone with no one to help him.
staring directly into my eyes, my dog sat on the couch opposite of me. His tail making a loud thudding noise as it smacked against the floor at million beats a second.
As we got closer and closer, the smell of smoke got stronger and stronger, I could taste the burning in my mouth. The bitter taste of the ash reminded me of my past relationships.
Steam was blown from my mouth as I exhaled the fresh morning air. I was blinded as the sun reflected off the glass-like ice.
